  • Climate adaptation and the London Fire Brigade (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Tony Devenish
    • Meeting date: 10 February 2022
Tony Devenish AM: At the Regeneration Committee a couple of years ago we talked about estates strategy and, when we asked about the carbon footprint of the strategy, we were met by silence. I do remember the meeting very clearly. Would you say you are leading on carbon matters that have been mentioned by Assembly Member Polanski in terms of the estate and not the appliances of the LFB? To the Deputy Mayor, would you be up to a pilot of possibly merging an LAS and an LFB station and making it a zero-carbon best-in-practice project?

  • Addressing inequalities in Coronavirus response (Supplementary) [3]

    • Question by: Zack Polanski
    • Meeting date: 10 June 2021
Zack Polanski AM: My question is for you, Mr Mayor, and then I will come to the Fire Commissioner. You spoke with Assembly Member Sheikh before about TfL and inequality. I want to ask you, though, about the LFB. What role does it have in tackling inequality in London? Would it be better for it to have a clear inequalities strategy?

  • Climate change (Supplementary) [10]

    • Question by: Darren Johnson
    • Meeting date: 10 November 2010
You talked earlier about the LDA's success in developing funding models for programmes that can outlive the LDA. While that is true for a number of programmes where either they are commercially viable or that they can expect continued Government support or, maybe, support through LEPs or whatever, there are clearly some programmes that have depended on a recoverable public subsidy, such as rolling out the home energy efficiency measures in the renew programme, supporting the low carbon zones, the trees in the parks programmes. Surely these are dead ducks now are they not?
