The LFB is currently using its reserves in terms of balancing its budgets. That cannot be a good thing and I know it is not for the long term and why you have to do it, but you have to do it -. Does it not put additional pressures on you and your transformational process and work to deliver the better services that Londoners need?

In terms of the challenges faced by the LFB in the future, severe weather is having an impact, and in terms of flooding in particular, does the LFB have the equipment it needs and the right level of resource to respond to flooding in London now and in the future?

Given TfL's proposal to substantially reduce the car parking at North Greenwich station what steps have they taken to provide alternative parking and how do they intend to secure the future of this car park given London Underground's description of this station as a key gateway? This park and ride facility is used by my constituents from all parts of Greenwich as public transport to and from the station from some parts of the borough is inadequate. Can you clarify what will be the exact staffing arrangements at the stations on the East London Line extension? Will there be staff at the stations and ticket barriers all the time the trains are running?

Are there any plans to introduce light controlled pedestrian crossings on a) Courthill Road, Lewisham, at the junction with Lewisham High Street and b) Canadian Avenue, Catford at the junction with Catford Road?

Recently, a constituent happened to buy an extension ticket from zone 2 to zone 3 at a tube station, although they were planning on making that journey on the DLR. At the DLR station it costs £1.50, but anywhere else on the network charges £3. Can you explain this anomaly and what are you doing to either integrate the fares or ensure that those selling tickets are aware of this.

Further to my question to the Mayor (1747/2005) in September 2005, can you update me on TfL's discussions on setting up a compensation fund for those that are injured on London Buses, when the operators are not liable?

Can you outline your policy for siting bus shelters? I understand that TfL are currently installing shelters at every stop, where possible. However, I would like to see you engage in proper consultation with residents who are affected not just a letter informing them that it is taking place.
