  • London Recovery Board and London Transition Board (Supplementary) [5]

    • Question by: Susan Hall
    • Meeting date: 02 July 2020
Susan Hall AM: My questions really have to be to Fiona and David Bellamy because I would like to ask about the Mayor in particular. What role does he have on the London Transition Board other than to chair it periodically? Which one of you would like to answer me?
  • London Recovery Board and London Transition Board (Supplementary) [7]

    • Question by: Tony Devenish
    • Meeting date: 02 July 2020
Tony Devenish AM: I have two questions, the first one for Mr Bellamy. Good morning, David. Yesterday TfL put out a press release where it boasted that there is an extra 19,000m 2 of space in central London for cycling and walking that has been created over the last few weeks, ie I presume there is 19,000m 2 roughly less road space. I am glad you mentioned the point of Saturday and the good news that the pubs are opening on Saturday. Do you worry, as some people have said to me, that Saturday will be a tipping point, where...
  • London Recovery Board and London Transition Board (Supplementary) [8]

    • Question by: Lord Bailey of Paddington
    • Meeting date: 02 July 2020
Shaun Bailey AM: Can I address my question to John Barradell, please. Good morning, John. It is great to see you. Earlier on you talked about everybody being worried about a second outbreak, and of course that is correct, but what constitutes an outbreak? Is there a pre-planned level where something clicks in? Is it based around R rate? Is it based around fatalities? Does that level exist in the mind of the Committee?

    • Question by: Andrew Boff
    • Meeting date: 02 July 2020
Andrew Boff AM: Mr Bellamy, to what extent will the objectives of the Recovery Board be based upon the lessons learned from the lockdown?
  • London Recovery Board and London Transition Board (Supplementary) [19]

    • Question by: Keith Prince
    • Meeting date: 02 July 2020
Keith Prince AM: Thank you, Chair. May I add my thanks to all the members of the panel for all the work that they are doing across London and helping Londoners. My question is for Mr Bellamy. I am sure you are aware, Mr Bellamy, that across London there are around 5,000 people being put up in the hotels by different partners at the moment, many hundreds of whom are rough sleepers. Will you work with me and a number of other organisations that I am working with across London to provide the accommodation and support services needed for those...
  • Question and Answer Session: Olympic Park Legacy Company (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Andrew Boff
    • Meeting date: 16 March 2011
Could you tell me what role the OPLC will have in consulting the populated parts of the proposed MDC?
  • Question and Answer Session: Olympic Park Legacy Company (Supplementary) [5]

    • Question by: Gareth Bacon MP
    • Meeting date: 16 March 2011
I am interested in the cost of running the sports venues once they are into legacy mode. I understand that the OPLC will be responsible for the Stadium, the Aquatics Centre, the mixed sports venue and the tower. Do you expect the sports venues will require public subsidy once they are in legacy mode to keep them afloat, or will they stand on their own two feet?
  • Question and Answer Session: Olympic Park Legacy Company (Supplementary) [8]

    • Question by: Roger Evans
    • Meeting date: 16 March 2011
Can we return to the subject of converting the venues please. Baroness Ford you said to the Select Committee a year ago that an additional £450 million might be required for conversion after the Games and you were going to go through this estimate line by line to work out exactly how much would be required. Have you reached a conclusion on that exercise?
  • Question and Answer Session: Olympic Park Legacy Company (Supplementary) [10]

    • Question by: Tony Arbour
    • Meeting date: 16 March 2011
I would like to know when and how much you expect to generate from the capital receipts for the five neighbourhoods on the Olympic Park? It is of extreme importance to the boroughs that we should get some sort of handle on this because this is the only way that Londoners who contributed to the cost of the Olympics are likely to get a dividend. Have we got a bottom figure? I have listened to you several times say that really you are not trying to evade financial questions and you are working very hard on it but you must...
  • Question and Answer Session: Olympic Park Legacy Company (Supplementary) [12]

    • Question by: Andrew Boff
    • Meeting date: 16 March 2011
Could you tell me please how long Londoners will have to wait before they can start to use the venues and visitor attractions on the Olympic site?
