    If you will be indulgent, I just want to say something before I ask my question. When we all came onto the Assembly I think all of us knew that London's transport had years of under-investment and was in a terrific mess. Many of us had looked to New York and the subway and how it had been saved and improved out of recognition, so that when Bob Kiley agreed ' I think it was that way round ' to be TfL's Commissioner, many of us felt it to be an inspired appointment.     In Haringey I just introduced a pilot for six months. It has so dramatically cut accidents; it did not stop the flow of traffic in a very big way, and the engineers were converted. I actually do not think the answers are so complicated.

    This is about tall buildings. First of all, high-rise in my understanding does not always mean high density. Because it depends on the planning. And I would like you to explain that a bit. And the second thing is, how do you respond to the MORI poll that found that most Londoners oppose the construction of high-rise buildings?

    I just picked out that you talked about the view of the Tower of London, and I noticed the other day when I was shown lots and lots of views of Renzo Piano's proposed building for London Bridge that it actually rises directly behind the rather famous view of the Tower of London. What would you say to that?
