Many residents in Enfield & Haringey rely on the overground rail network but they cannot yet use their freedom pass 24 hours a day and are at a disadvantage compared to residents living near tube services. Yes, Peter, and that is the sort of response I have been getting for the last couple of years, and luckily I can say to you that the Borough of Lambeth have recently run a most successful campaign using ads; it is the campaign 'Know the Difference'. It is a campaign that Assembly Member Kit Malthouse in his role when he was head of Mayor's Office for Police and Crime (MOPAC) endorsed and commended. Darren Johnson (Deputy Chair): Assembly Member Biggs has a point of order. John Biggs (AM): The Chair told us there was a standing order about making assertions for which there was no evidence. Now, the Mayor has at the one time made an assertion for which he has evidence that he can cut council tax. Now he has made another assertion that on fares, he can make no such commitment. Clearly, it is welcome to have a focus on outer London and my colleagues from Sutton and North Cheam are quick off the mark and have already, as it were, put in for some money even though you have not actually told people what the criteria is. But I, too, am concerned about your funding mechanism. It is one thing to take the money off taxpayers and to grant it to outer London boroughs.
