  • Risks associated with cutting police budgets (Supplementary) [5]

    • Question by: James Cleverly
    • Meeting date: 17 October 2012
James Cleverly (AM): Thank you, Chair. I had hoped to subtly remind you that my understanding is that Members were here to ask questions of the Mayor and receive answers from the Mayor. Unfortunately, there have been a number of occasions where Labour Members have finished their line of questioning with a statement and you have curtailed the Mayor's attempts to answer the implied questions in those statements. If we are envisaging a change of standing orders where Members are allowed to make parting shots or closing statements, whatever you want to call them, perhaps you could inform the Assembly...
  • 24 hour Freedom Pass on Overground Rail in Enfield & Haringey

    • Reference: 2012/0012-1
    • Question by: Joanne McCartney
    • Meeting date: 20 June 2012
Many residents in Enfield & Haringey rely on the overground rail network but they cannot yet use their freedom pass 24 hours a day and are at a disadvantage compared to residents living near tube services. What action have you, and will you take to ensure that all freedom pass holders can access overground rail services 24 hours a day?
  • Kings Cross Gyratory

    • Reference: 2012/0040-1
    • Question by: Jennette Arnold OBE
    • Meeting date: 20 June 2012
In your answer to question 1372 / 2012 you state that 'A series of key stakeholder workshops will be organised in June which will allow various parties to discuss their aspirations for the work at King's Cross Gyratory and to highlight the issues that affect local residents.' Given the confusion that has arisen with my constituents regarding works to the King's Cross Gyratory in the past can you please answer each of the following in full: a) Please provide a list of all the 'key stakeholder groups' who will be invited to these workshops b) Please outline details of how...
  • Concern (Supplementary) [12]

    • Question by: Jennette Arnold OBE
    • Meeting date: 20 June 2012
Yes, Peter, and that is the sort of response I have been getting for the last couple of years, and luckily I can say to you that the Borough of Lambeth have recently run a most successful campaign using ads; it is the campaign 'Know the Difference'. It is a campaign that Assembly Member Kit Malthouse in his role when he was head of Mayor's Office for Police and Crime (MOPAC) endorsed and commended. It has been taken onboard by other people and the only organisation that did not commit to it locally in Lambeth was TfL. These campaigns were...
  • New Routemaster (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: John Biggs
    • Meeting date: 23 May 2012
John Biggs (AM): Can I request a personal explanation?
  • Transport for London Business Plan (Supplementary) [2]

    • Question by: John Biggs
    • Meeting date: 23 May 2012
Darren Johnson (Deputy Chair): Assembly Member Biggs has a point of order. John Biggs (AM): The Chair told us there was a standing order about making assertions for which there was no evidence. Now, the Mayor has at the one time made an assertion for which he has evidence that he can cut council tax. Now he has made another assertion that on fares, he can make no such commitment. There is a fundamental inconsistency, it seems to me, under standing orders. Either one can be said and the other cannot, and either the both can be said or neither...
  • Oxford Street speed during Olympics (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: James Cleverly
    • Meeting date: 14 March 2012
    A point of order, Chair.
  • Meeting (Supplementary) [6]

    • Question by: Gareth Bacon MP
    • Meeting date: 22 February 2012
My colleague Victoria Borwick is very keen to come to her question, which is the next one on the agenda, so I am going to pull my question, Chair. I am withdrawing my question.
  • Outer London Regeneration Fund (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Mike Tuffrey
    • Meeting date: 18 May 2011
Clearly, it is welcome to have a focus on outer London and my colleagues from Sutton and North Cheam are quick off the mark and have already, as it were, put in for some money even though you have not actually told people what the criteria is. But I, too, am concerned about your funding mechanism. It is one thing to take the money off taxpayers and to grant it to outer London boroughs. It is another to borrow because you have to pay the interest on the borrowing and you have to pay the money back. I am a...
