James Cleverly (AM): Thank you, Chair. I had hoped to subtly remind you that my understanding is that Members were here to ask questions of the Mayor and receive answers from the Mayor. Unfortunately, there have been a number of occasions where Labour Members have finished their line of questioning with a statement and you have curtailed the Mayor's attempts to answer the implied questions in those statements. If we are envisaging a change of standing orders where Members are allowed to make parting shots or closing statements, whatever you want to call them, perhaps you could inform the Assembly...

Clearly, it is welcome to have a focus on outer London and my colleagues from Sutton and North Cheam are quick off the mark and have already, as it were, put in for some money even though you have not actually told people what the criteria is. But I, too, am concerned about your funding mechanism. It is one thing to take the money off taxpayers and to grant it to outer London boroughs. Given that both the Conservative Party and the Liberal Democrat Party only want to build half a Thames Gateway bridge I think it is quite reasonable there should be a lively discussion on the issue! I think in both cases they like the northern part, but not the southern part. That is politics for you! Would you agree that you are the greenest Local Authority Leader in the country and that green voters should celebrate the fact that they have voted for you in the past and should think hard before supporting another candidate in the future?

I have a letter here in my hand from the Leader of Camden Council who is speaking on behalf of Liberal Democratic/Conservative Partnership Administration, and that is what he says in his letter. I am happy to share that with you although I am really in a state of despair about what has happened here. Would you agree that one of the things that made the Croydon Tram Link Scheme happen was that the Conservatives on Croydon Council supported this project all the way through 15 years, up until it happened? Thank you, Mayor. While the Conservatives on the Assembly were getting very excited and hyperventilating about your trip to Cuba, the Conservatives now involved in the administration of Camden Council were busily undermining the Cross River Tram.
