Now, the Mayor has at the one time made an assertion for which he has evidence that he can cut council tax. Now he has made another assertion that on fares, he can make no such commitment.     I do often go through Earl's Court, simply because I can never get a Circle Line Tube, so I have to go there to get onto a District Line to go down in that part of West London. Should the emphasis not actually be on electronic information and the signs there being replaced as quickly as possible with electronic information, rather than putting it out on a tannoy, which I actually have not heard ever whenever I pass right through Earl's Court?

    Is there a declared date for that to happen, or is this going to be a gradual process? We have already heard that the position over the land acquisition is not completely clear and is in a process of negotiation.
