    • Question by: Susan Hall
    • Meeting date: 02 July 2020
Susan Hall AM: My questions really have to be to Fiona and David Bellamy because I would like to ask about the Mayor in particular. What role does he have on the London Transition Board other than to chair it periodically? Which one of you would like to answer me?
  • London Recovery Board and London Transition Board (Supplementary) [7]

    • Question by: Tony Devenish
    • Meeting date: 02 July 2020
Tony Devenish AM: I have two questions, the first one for Mr Bellamy. Good morning, David. Yesterday TfL put out a press release where it boasted that there is an extra 19,000m 2 of space in central London for cycling and walking that has been created over the last few weeks, ie I presume there is 19,000m 2 roughly less road space. I am glad you mentioned the point of Saturday and the good news that the pubs are opening on Saturday. Do you worry, as some people have said to me, that Saturday will be a tipping point, where...

    • Question by: Lord Bailey of Paddington
    • Meeting date: 02 July 2020
Shaun Bailey AM: Can I address my question to John Barradell, please. Good morning, John. It is great to see you. Earlier on you talked about everybody being worried about a second outbreak, and of course that is correct, but what constitutes an outbreak? Is there a pre-planned level where something clicks in? Is it based around R rate? Is it based around fatalities? Does that level exist in the mind of the Committee?

    • Question by: Keith Prince
    • Meeting date: 02 July 2020
Keith Prince AM: Thank you, Chair. May I add my thanks to all the members of the panel for all the work that they are doing across London and helping Londoners. My question is for Mr Bellamy. I am sure you are aware, Mr Bellamy, that across London there are around 5,000 people being put up in the hotels by different partners at the moment, many hundreds of whom are rough sleepers. Will you work with me and a number of other organisations that I am working with across London to provide the accommodation and support services needed for those...

  • Mini-Mopeds

    • Reference: 2005/0261-1
    • Question by: Andrew Pelling
    • Meeting date: 15 June 2005
Many areas in Croydon and Sutton are cursed with the riding of small mini-mopeds and motorcycles on pathways, parks, open spaces and roads by riders often unhelmeted. Frequently it seems that individual community ward officers do their very best to tackle the problems arising from this behaviour. What though is best practice across the Metropolitan Police Service on dealing with this problem ? What powers are employed to tackle such behaviour and what additional powers could the police service seek to tackle this issue?
