    • Question by: Richard Barnes
    • Meeting date: 10 November 2007
You won't be working and planning on the Aquatics Centre alone. You are also looking at the other stadia as well. Are they also going through this natural growth process with the budget?

    • Question by: Richard Barnes
    • Meeting date: 10 November 2007
Are you saying then that within the budget which is within your control come 2012, there will be no further pool for uplift for that budget? You will not exceed that budget?

  • Budget and Venues Update (Supplementary) [13]

    • Question by: Richard Barnes
    • Meeting date: 10 November 2007
How can we as an Assembly then monitor and spread confidence to Londoners about what is happening if over a period of time the projects are changing and we are not comparing like with like? • Meeting date: 10 November 2007
I understand that, but if Londoners might end up picking up the bill for the gap of £75 million then perhaps they might be interested in it. Are we comparing like for like now in terms of what the original bid was? I understand an access bridge has now been added to the Aquatics Centre and that has clearly inflated the budget for the Aquatics Centre. Whilst we talk about an Aquatics Centre now, as we did some time ago, we are not actually talking about the same project, are we?
  • Budget and Venues Update (Supplementary) [35]

    • Question by: Richard Barnes
    • Meeting date: 10 November 2007
I am aware of that and you have got two or three years of critical paths of analysis of where you have got to be and all the rest of it. Where are you on the budget with these other buildings?
  • Budget and Venues Update (Supplementary) [37]

    • Question by: Richard Barnes
    • Meeting date: 10 November 2007
Going on your original budget which did not include VAT and build cost inflation, is that going to be eaten up by your contingency reserves? Where is that going to be covered from?
  • Jack Lemley (Supplementary) [3]

    • Question by: Damian Hockney
    • Meeting date: 15 November 2006
Given the fact that Jack Lemley has actually raised these points, as Sir Roy (McNulty) and you have said during meetings beforehand, there is clearly a problem. I now see somebody senior leaving and, as a former journalist, I read and hear what I would regard as smear stories against Jack Lemley, which are clearly coming from somewhere, either from Government or are any of these stories about him coming from your office? I am not going to repeat them because I believe they are defamatory, but there was an article in Private Eye which is completely, as far as...
