    It has taken the LDA over a year to produce the Economic Development Strategy, and yet the strategy produced resembles nothing more than a pre-strategy, setting out measures necessary before a real, meaningful strategy can be produced. Can this really be considered an adequate response to London's economic development needs? .

    The Economic Development Strategy's support of social firms is extremely welcome. However, none of the measures outlined in the strategy will make an impact on the sector in anything like the immediate future. Can not more be done to aid a sector that is likely to be particularly vulnerable to the anticipated economic downturn? .
