In eight days’ time, employers will be made to pay the National Insurance contributions and pension contributions for workers who have been furloughed. In September, employers will be expected to start topping up their furloughed workers’ wages. What impact do you think this will have on sectors of the economy that have not yet been able to open up and generate income?
