  • Question & Answer Session: London's Long-Term Infrastructure Needs (Supplementary) [20]

    • Question by: Andrew Boff
    • Meeting date: 08 June 2023
Andrew Boff AM (Chair): Thank you. We are almost at the end. I am going to take a liberty here. Many of you have turned up anticipating questions which you could answer. Is there any burning issue which you feel we should know about that has not been covered in these questions? It is OK to say no, this is not an appraisal. Dr King.
  • Olympics Legacy Ambassador Role

    • Reference: 2012/0229-1
    • Question by: Andrew Boff
    • Meeting date: 14 November 2012
What will your new role as Olympics Legacy Ambassador entail? What will be your key message when advising the Prime Minister on how best to secure a long-term benefit of hosting the Games?
  • Affordable Ticket Guarantees (Supplementary) [5]

    • Question by: Andrew Boff
    • Meeting date: 14 November 2012
Lord Deighton, what we had asked for in our meeting back in March/April - I cannot remember when it was - what we had asked for and what we received an assurance about was that we would get the data immediately after the Olympics; it would be released to us and that we would be able to make judgments about the allocations. What we received was an embargoed set of aggregated data, not the raw data that we wanted. We received an embargoed set of aggregated data one week before this meeting, embargoed until yesterday, and we get the breakdown...

Mr Deighton, do hospitality providers have more than one source of tickets?
  • Transparency (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Andrew Boff
    • Meeting date: 07 March 2012
Lord Coe, you know those annual letters you get about your pension and they send it off to you and they say, 'This is your predicted benefits from your pension'? One thing I do know is yours is probably a little more optimistic than my letter, but when was the last time that letter actually said to you, 'We are not going to tell you now about these benefits because it is ever-changing and too complicated for you to understand, but what we will do is we will let you know when you retire'?! When did you last get that...
  • Business Plan (Supplementary) [4]

    • Question by: Andrew Boff
    • Meeting date: 07 March 2012
This is a useful suggestion. As the Prime Minister and the Mayor of London have indicated, we have capacity problems with the mall and St James' Park. How about we route the marathon around the East End? That would help, would it not, enormously?
  • Lessons Learned from Beijing (Supplementary) [3]

    • Question by: Kit Malthouse
    • Meeting date: 19 November 2008
You will have to forgive me for being easily confused but I am anxious about lines of decision taking and responsibility around some of the decisions that are being taken and, indeed, learning about who is taking those decisions. I have become a bit confused this morning. You talked about not being responsible for the ODA budget, that is nothing to do with you, and yet you are talking about decisions that will affect their budget. You, Lord Coe, have gone on record about there being certain legacy issues around the stadium, for instance, which will affect the budget and...
  • Access to the Games (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Kit Malthouse
    • Meeting date: 19 November 2008
Just on the lanes, would you agree with me that the 'Zil lanes' are likely to be the biggest PR problem for the Games in London, particularly when they are on and in the preparation up to them? What lessons are you learning from John Prescott's [Former Deputy Prime Minister] ministerial lane on the M4 and the public relations disaster that was? Also what contingency arrangements will you make for getting around London if, as I expect - and I obviously I represent large parts of Central London - there is some kind of protest from irate commuters, drivers, delivery...
