Unmesh Desai AM: Thank you, Chair. Deputy Mayor, because I used my earlier time allocation to put forward the views of New City College, who are based all over London and do some fantastic work, I have a couple of supplementary questions. One of the things that the Mayor has long called for is the ability for London to have an occupation shortages list. Have you had conversations with the Government about this? Where are the talks? Can you remind us how this would assist London’s skills gap? This is about the occupation shortages list.

Yes, that was a comprehensive background you gave in your answers to the question from my colleague, the Chair of the Assembly, and to some extent you have partly answered some of the questions I was going to ask you, but I will still formally put those questions to you. What specific role did the London Recovery Board, the Strategic Co-ordination Group (SCG) and the London Transition Board have in the national roadmap out of lockdown?

Unmesh Desai AM: I was hoping to raise this earlier, Chair, but I will raise it anyway. It relates to a comment made by Assembly Member Andrew Boff. I do not want to get into a party-political spat but, following advice I received from the Secretariat, I have no choice but to put my question to you.
