You need to obtain planning consent, waste consent, and often more specialised permits, as well as remedial work.     At the time when the IOC were in London, three organizations published reviews of the LDA's approach to the bid, the results of which were favourable to the LDA and were subsequently used by Lord Coe to deflect criticism of the bid.
