In the light of the petition organized by Save Ealing's Streets, which shows the strength of feeling against a West London Transit scheme that causes the diversion of traffic off Uxbridge Road and onto residential streets, will the Mayor ensure that the practical consequences and concerns about the implementation of the scheme are given thorough appraisal? .

I have had a complaint from a constituent who works for London Underground, and to quote, "The current dispute is making working life intolerably difficult for many of us. I faced constant abuse from members of the public I was trying to assist on Wednesday, and now I have been suffering abuse and aggressive behaviour from union activists who are trying to intimidate and pester staff who came to work during the strike. Following your remarks to me in October last year that you liked the concept of a guided bus (with designated road space and priority at traffic signals but able to operate like a normal bus where Uxbridge Road is too narrow), agreed it might be more viable than a tram and was an idea worth exploring, Transport for London did not examine this option. Why not? .
