In a recent answer to a question of mine you claimed that there are 25 permits specifically relating to coaches and buses operating tourist routes in Central London. Does this figure refer to the number of buses or operating companies? If it refers to the companies, how many buses does this cover? .

I seem to recall that in your recent comments about subsidising transport for the under-18s, you were suggesting that that money would be coming, partly at least, from the congestion charge income. We have also heard from you recently that that expectation of revenue is going down and down, so everything is going to be fighting very hard for a small amount of money. Have you explored other ways of raising money in order to put money into some of your transport aspirations and I wonder whether one of the ways might be to raise a bond? I am wondering...

You talk about the fact that you would be more likely to get something to go towards a big capital project but, I am asking again, have you thought about how you would actually secure that bond?

I think we can see that what we've got here today is a real problem, not with the fact that we're getting some new transport services but the actual consultation that precedes them. Clearly, there is something that's going wrong which is why we've got so many petitions, and so many petitioners here today. I hope that you do recognise that there is a message coming out loud and clear this morning, that TfL has got real problems with the way it relates to local residents when it is consulting on new schemes.
