    Dee Doocey (Chair): We are now moving on to the session on the Mayoral Development Corporation (MDC). Can I start off the session by asking you, Simon, please can you explain the Mayor's proposals to create a MDC for the Olympic Park area?

    Yes, Chair. I am impressed the Mayor has created another functional body: Bacon for London! I have three areas of questioning - very briefly. The first is you are trying to clutch some sort of victory out of the jaws of defeat, I would suggest. The Government effectively abolished both the budgets and the entities of the Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) last year, while accepting that City Hall is going to have some economic regeneration capacity.     Can I just understand the numbers a bit better. You talked about the £56 million that was all that was committed up to now but we have got £85.6 million in the budgets for this current year. Is that £85.6 million funded or is there now more in this current year, 2011/12, than that number?

    You mentioned the youth priorities would be one of the things the Mayor could inform us about next week. This afternoon some Members of this Assembly are meeting to update ourselves on the Time for Action strands. We do know from the information we have to date that a lot of those programmes have been put on hold because of the concern about funding --
