Jenny Jones AM: On this substantive issue, I am very concerned that you are actually releasing too much industrial land because the vacancy rate on industrial land has actually halved in the past 15 years and is now lower than retail vacancies. I am concerned that you are talking about surplus land when, actually, it is not surplus because small businesses still need to be near centres of population and they still need to be near town centres. I just wonder how much research you have done on this.

Jenny Jones AM: I have not been convinced by these arguments about keeping Wormwood Scrubs open space inside the MDC. The council that currently has it in their borough is against it. The Friends of the Open Space are against it. It looks like a mayoral land grab. It does not look like a coherent plan. I was delighted to hear you talk about how important consultation is and, as you know, it has been suggested that the Camberwell Green Police Station, Southwark might close less than two years after it has reopened. Are you saying if enough people in Southwark beg you to keep that police station open, that is what you would do? What does consultation mean to you?

What are the blocks to the London Safety Camera Partnership speeding up its roll out programme of fixed site cameras and reducing the timetable from four years to two years? Given that cameras do save lives, has the MPS carried out any evaluation of how many deaths and serious injuries might be prevented by a faster roll out programme?

How many officer days' absence are caused by road collisions and is there any action you can take to reduce the number and severity of these collisions?

What is the MPS policy on the use of tasers? How many officers are trained in their use? Do you agree that these stun guns are powerful weapons and that their use should not be extended to officers who have not been trained in use of firearms?
