    • Question by: Caroline Pidgeon
    • Meeting date: 06 September 2018
Caroline Pidgeon MBE AM: Thank you for that. Will the decision to delay the opening until autumn next year [2019] ‑ it would be great to find out which month in autumn ‑ mean further delay in the opening of the other sections and the final full opening of the line in December 2019?

  • Lead off question - Delays to Crossrail (Supplementary) [13]

    • Question by: David Kurten
    • Meeting date: 06 September 2018
David Kurten AM: Let us come back to the technical aspects. It seems the main problems are getting the three different signalling infrastructures to talk to each other. You are shaking your heads.

Val, in answer to the question from Assembly Member Bailey, you talked about how this document really is what is in the business plan we are concentrating on and you have no long‑term plans, but in the direction of travel of the document it is quite clear you are supporting the Assembly Transport Committee’s plans for road...

  • Counter-Terrorism (Supplementary) [2]

    • Question by: Murad Qureshi
    • Meeting date: 17 September 2014
Mr Mayor, can I raise the issue of sectarian tensions in London from the Middle East conflicts between Sunni and Shia? I welcome the comments you made to Andrew Boff AM that you do not want to see international disputes come to the streets of London. In the past 15 months I have seen a number of incidents which concern me. The first was raised by Lebanese businesses on the Edgware Road about Anjem Choudary’s [cleric] mob inciting clearly religious hatred aimed at Shias. It was dealt with as a public order offence but an opportunity was missed to deal...

Perhaps we should be careful about the term `backlash,- as well, because it implies that the effect is on those who are responsible.
