    You are saying that on occasion they have been paid to travel. Perhaps you could give me an example of where somebody has been to promote London?

    Presumably there is a budget within Visit London to pay for people to travel abroad to promote London abroad, is there? How much is that approximately?

    Would those people that do that promotional work ever be the Mayor or anybody from his office? His advisors?

    I can understand that, but that does not sound to me like Visit London. That sounds to me like something quite separate from a budget which is about promoting tourism to London.

    When I get this information from you which you have said you are going to provide, I will be able to see that every single visit that has been made by somebody from the Mayoral office will have led to some major advance in our relationship with that country, whether it is to do with tourism or indeed to do with environmental issues? There will always be a major measured purpose with an outcome that you can demonstrate to me?

    Sorry, can I cut across you. Why couldn't that be done by an existing organisation, like Visit London for example?

    How many people that work in the LDA are connected to the Mayor's tourism strategy and are directly interfacing with tourism?

    Clearly one of the concerns we would have is are we getting good value for money from that? What tangible benefits are there from that investment of £6.7 million?
