We all wish heartily for a very successful Games but I hope you will understand, therefore, it is important to get the worries out and debated and sorted early in advance of the event itself. Will TfL work with the boroughs and follow the advice of the Department for Transport to define and establish a 'road hierarchy' so that the character of each road can be developed to best suit the functions it has to fulfill - providing safer walking and cycling routes, and keeping cars from 'rat-running'? .
