  • £25 congestion charge

    • Reference: 2007/0275-1
    • Question by: Damian Hockney
    • Meeting date: 05 December 2007
Motorists driving five year old petrol engined saloons with automatic gearboxes, like a Mondeo or maybe an older VW Beetle, will pay £25 a day Congestion Charge and no residents' discount, while those who buy BMW's newX5 - the definitive "Urban 4x4" - will not. • Reference: 2007/0260-1
    • Question by: Richard Barnes
    • Meeting date: 05 December 2007
When Heathrow Terminal 5 opens, approximately 29,000 people will work there. TfL's decision to introduce no extra bus routes from Hayes (350), Southall (482) and Northolt in my constituency will prevent and discourage both commuters and customers from using public transport to travel to Heathrow from Ealing and Hillingdon. Would the Commissioner of Transport for London please reconsider his position?
