TfL constantly tells us that the East London Transit will be a new mode of transport, quite separate from an ordinary bus route. Yet, upon close inspection of the proposals, it seems that this really is just an upgraded bus route, with a virtually identical number of stops, at a reported cost of £44.7 million. Yet we have not been told how this compares, cost wise, with an ordinary bus route. What would the cost be for an ordinary bus route?
