  • Question & Answer Session: London's Long-Term Infrastructure Needs (Supplementary) [19]

    • Question by: Keith Prince
    • Meeting date: 08 June 2023
Keith Prince AM: Thank you, Chair. Deputy Mayor, good morning. A quick question to back up what my colleague, Assembly Member Best, was saying in regards to Havering in the Superloop. There is going to be no Superloop in Havering and I cannot understand why you would not have one of the outer-lying boroughs in your Orbital Plan. You are going to be deleting two bus routes in Havering, so as a result of the expansion of ULEZ there will be fewer opportunities for my residents to use public transport. We are going to be discussing it at a later...
  • Question & Answer Session: London's Long-Term Infrastructure Needs (Supplementary) [6]

    • Question by: Tony Devenish
    • Meeting date: 08 June 2023
Tony Devenish AM: Thank you, Chair. Good morning, panel, and good morning, Deputy Mayor. I think that was the best excuse I have heard for the Mayor not turning up yet. We get one every time. There is one thing that has not been mentioned so far this morning. As somebody who has spent most of my career in infrastructure, it is the vision thing. • Economic Recovery in London (Supplementary) [6]

    • Question by: Tony Devenish
    • Meeting date: 23 July 2020
Tony Devenish AM: Chair, I will be very succinct. Two questions, and I will put them to Jace Tyrrell, and others can come in when they get called by other Assembly Members. Jace, could you please just give us an update on where we are on business rates and what we need the Government to do? That is my first question. Secondly, would you agree with me the biggest concern is that the lost generation are the teens and early 20s that are not already in work? Let’s not always say, “What can Government do?” What can business do to...
  • Economic Recovery in London (Supplementary) [16]

    • Question by: Keith Prince
    • Meeting date: 23 July 2020
Keith Prince AM: Thank you, Chair. Could I look to Philip Graham as the only representative of the GLA family, please? Would you agree with the point that Jace Tyrrell made when he was saying that there is not a very good comparison with London when you look at other major cities that are getting far more people on their public transport now than we are? Do you think that is possibly down to confidence on public transport? Could that reason possibly be because people do not feel safe on our transport system? I am constantly getting complaints from my...
