    I am trying to get my head round this, and I have written down 'complementary specialisms, information flow, early advice, and then the crunch, which is marshalling resources to the scene.' Can you just tell me, what difference will it make, if you actually have this? What difference will it make, if there is a catastrophic event?

    I just want to follow up the work about working together in this MAIAT. I am confident when you are all in a room, yes, you are all working together, but it has been reported to me that none of your communication systems actually connect with each other. Therefore, what happens at the operational level, if you are all running on different communications systems? Is that high up on the agenda? I am thinking about the command, really. I know of her involvement given that she was at the launch on 20 November of the Mayor's second annual report of the pan-London Domestic Violence Forum.     Clearly, this is not a London-only issue. One of the things the MPS does is lead the rest of the police service, as it has done, to get that ACPO (Association of Chief Police Officers) position. Will you be giving your commitment to lead the rest of the service nationally to ensure this matter stays at the top of the policing agenda because they are the first point of call for people in distress?

    I would like to ask about the proposals to transfer serious crime out of the Met into a national police force and about the issues around recruitment and retention that might bring.
