  • Transparency (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Andrew Boff
    • Meeting date: 07 March 2012
Lord Coe, you know those annual letters you get about your pension and they send it off to you and they say, 'This is your predicted benefits from your pension'? One thing I do know is yours is probably a little more optimistic than my letter, but when was the last time that letter actually said to you, 'We are not going to tell you now about these benefits because it is ever-changing and too complicated for you to understand, but what we will do is we will let you know when you retire'?! When did you last get that...
  • Transparency (Supplementary) [2]

    • Question by: Richard Tracey
    • Meeting date: 07 March 2012
Gentlemen, about three or four weeks ago there was a Channel 4 Dispatches programme on which indeed Dee Doocey and my colleague Andrew Boff were fairly major contributors. I think that a lot of the problems that we have already been talking about this morning were dealt with in that programme, or those questions were raised, can I ask you whether you two can confidently refute the various allegations that were made in the Dispatches programme or not?
  • Business Plan (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Richard Tracey
    • Meeting date: 07 March 2012
Part of the business plan, as you set it out, was of course about transport and traffic, and the part I want to concentrate on is the Games Lanes. There seems to be a little bit of confusion. In the last few days, there has been some suggestion that you may be allowing some other people into the network. Can you specify? Are you going to suddenly allow in black cabs and non-emergency vehicles, funeral corteges? Can you give us some detail, please?
  • Business Plan (Supplementary) [2]

    • Question by: Richard Barnes
    • Meeting date: 07 March 2012
Before the bid, during the bid and after the bid successive Mayors declared that this would be the most accessible, inclusive Games ever. Clearly you would have incorporated that statement within your business plan. Can you tell me how far you have gone to fulfilling that?
  • Business Plan (Supplementary) [3]

    • Question by: Len Duvall OBE
    • Meeting date: 07 March 2012
Earlier, in terms of the answers to the business plan - sorry, I really ought to caveat this before anyone says I am nitpicking. Amongst the many hundreds, possibly thousands of things that you have done well, and the things that Members are raising - and you cannot get any bigger cheerleaders for the Olympics, certainly on this side today, but in the past, it took a long time coming. Let us put those caveats aside. These issues: Bhopal, ticketing, transparency. Are they not just slightly tarnishing? I was a bit gobsmacked when a key programme like Dispatches - I...
  • Business Plan (Supplementary) [4]

    • Question by: Andrew Boff
    • Meeting date: 07 March 2012
This is a useful suggestion. As the Prime Minister and the Mayor of London have indicated, we have capacity problems with the mall and St James' Park. How about we route the marathon around the East End? That would help, would it not, enormously?
  • Business Plan (Supplementary) [5]

    • Question by: Navin Shah
    • Meeting date: 07 March 2012
In terms of your business plan, can you explain how the Dow Chemicals sponsorship for the wrap complies with the IOC's Code of Ethics?
  • London 2012 Food Vision (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Richard Barnes
    • Meeting date: 07 March 2012
Lord Coe, lest the British public think that the only option they have is a Veggie Burger or a Big Mac, can you please assure both this Assembly and London, the wider public, that your food policy has achieved an enormous range of food outlets across the Park, that McDonald's have only two outlets, I understand, at the Park, and there are another 150 others? McDonald's, whilst having the monopoly of chips, as I understand, do not have the monopoly of food provision.
