The Greater London Authority Disability Action Working Group, chaired by Lee Jasper, has met on several occasions to discuss access for the disabled to both the former GLA headquarters at Romney House and out new headquarters at City Hall, and has produced proposals for a disability strategy whereby the GLA should be "an Exemplar on Disability" promoting accessibility of the environment for all Londoners. Why has the Mayor not put this work into action with respect to the Authority's occupation of the City Hall building and when does he expect to put this into action? .

In the light of reductions in street crime offences in London since their peak in Winter 2001/02, will the Mayor acknowledge that street crime levels are still significantly higher than in recent years and, therefore, will be join me in encouraging both the London Boroughs and the Metropolitan Police Authority to set more ambitious targets to reduce street crime in Boroughs' Crime Reduction/Community Safety Strategies and the Policing and Performance Plan, respectively? .

The promotion of good public transport links on a radial basis in South London is important. How much cognisance are you giving to this when considering expanding Croydon Tramlink to Sutton? As a non-car driver, I use public transport to get around my constituency and public transport links between the two major towns of Sutton and Croydon are not great. .

Following the response to my previous question on traffic light re-phasing (Appendix D, 252/2002), can the Mayor please list the location of all 152 schemes involving the Safety schemes for boroughs? Could the Mayor please provide precise reasons for the undertaking of each of the Safety schemes? Could the Mayor please explain exactly how the safety work affected the amount of time each traffic light remains at red and by how much? .
