I am very delighted to hear that, although I was rather sorry that there was a delay because I can remember at least two years ago when we were in here for a scrutiny session, and you came with your Union Representative and he agreed that there really was no hold up with the Union as to getting this sorted out in London as long as they were not to be sent there instead of an ambulance, to which we, of course, agreed. I was delighted to hear the Chair's reference to Bromley as I am always delighted to hear references to Bromley. Would perhaps the Commissioner agree that one thing that would assist and enhance response times in the London Borough of Bromley would be the provision of a suitable vehicle, perhaps four-wheel drive or similar, at Biggin Hill Fire Station to reflect the particular circumstances of the ground which Biggin Hill has to cover, being large semi-rural, having to deal with haystack fires and a lot of things that do not occur elsewhere in London?

I really commend the work that you are doing. I must congratulate you on the preventative work that you are doing, because it really is quite excellent. Under the guise of vulnerability, can I ask whether under your draft London Safety Plan and your modernisation plans you can assure me that there is going to be enough equipment and staff in areas where there are a large numbert of residential tower blocks? I mean council estates in London. Can you assure me that equipment and manpower is available in those areas?
