    Shaun Bailey AM: Good morning to both of our guests. Can I start with you, Lord Hendy. On 7 March [2023] you announced a consultation on reducing the size of LLDC from December 2024. It was also confirmed that LLDC would maintain its status with a reconstituted board and a governance structure and a return of planning powers to the constituent boroughs. What were the objectives behind these changes?

    Shaun Bailey AM: Thank you, Chair. Good afternoon, panel. The Mayor has made no secret of his desire for another Olympic Games and he used the phrasing, it will be “the greenest Games ever” because we already have the kit. Do we already have the kit though? As we know, the Stadium is locked in a contract, a 99-year deal or something along those lines. So do we actually have the kit? Let me start with the Deputy Mayor and then I will come to Lyn.

    Dr Onkar Sahota AM: Hi. Thanks. My questions are about the grassroots participation in sports, but particularly I wanted to find out what the impact has been of the Olympics and/or subsequently on the participation of people with disabilities in sports. Have we done anything to improve their position and their participation in sports?
