    • Question by: Susan Hall
    • Meeting date: 02 December 2021
Susan Hall AM: Mr Mayor, it was reported on 28 [November 2021] that teenage murders in London are up to the highest rate since 2008 with 28 young people so far slain in 2021. That is absolutely horrific for all of us. It makes up at least half of the teenage homicides in the whole of the United Kingdom. Since then, 5,500 responses to a MPS survey said that 95% of the officers were in support of the introduction of spit guards, which is a very big percentage, obviously. Do you trust the officers that are asking for these based on their experience and knowledge?

    • Question by: Susan Hall
    • Meeting date: 01 November 2018
Susan Hall AM: Thank you. Mr Mayor, we were questioning Claire Waxman, the Victims Commissioner, yesterday at the Police and Crime Committee. When I asked her how many boroughs she had visited - and she has been in post about 18 months now - we were all surprised to hear that she has been to only four or five. She could not remember but she thought it was four or five. Do you think it would be helpful if she was to make herself better known throughout London?
