    Will the Mayor agree that intelligence is essential to every strategy and we don't yet have it? State of the art Geographical Information Systems don't just provide maps. The key word is information. Any database that has a locational facet, e.g. an address, postcode or an enumeration district, can be linked to a detailed and up to date mapping system. All the Census data to be collected next year: unemployment data, housing and industry information could all be integrated in to one system and accessed by the whole GLA family for policy and implementation work.
