    While addressing a meeting of local councillors recently, the Mayor called for the Assembly to be scrapped and scrutiny of his activities to be taken over by local councillors. At the subsequent LSE London Conference he described the quality of local councillors as "garbage". Is this strategy due to his desire to see effective scrutiny abolished?

    Your stated aim is to encourage businesses to set up their operations in London, yet you persist in doing things that are driving businesses and their customers away. Examples are the westward extension of the Congestion Charge and the recent increase in bus and tube fares, making transport in London the most expensive in the world. Is it not true that you have no idea how wealth is created?

    Could the Mayor state how much money was taken in the first and second years of the congestion charge and how much of that was paid in fines rather than fees. How much of the income from the congestion charge in the first and the second year was spent on running the system and of the remainder, could the Mayor enumerate the London Transport projects that benefited from the fund of money earned through the congestions charge giving exact names and sums spent?
