The Tier two announcement allowing restaurants and some pubs to remain open has seen a distinct increase in bookings and been welcome by the hospitality sector. However, the sector is still facing a tough time beyond festive period. What do you expect Government to do the help the sector on its knees and how can you do to revive the hospitality sector in London?

It is suggested that UK could lose £60 million a day through a slump in tourism. London’s Tourism industry accounts for one in seven jobs in the capital. This, in the short and long term also means a deep decline in the viability of various sectors including retail, leisure, creative, culture and hotels etc. Experts within the tourism industry agree that the tourism sector needs much greater and specific support from Government. A recent Travelwatch survey suggests Londoners expecting to work from home in future has gone up for the 3 rd week running and is now at 69%. During the pandemic and the recovery period, it’s most critical that the large number of Londoners working from home, have reliable and enhanced digital connectivity. What is being done to improve rapidly the connectivity, how is this monitored and what role operators are playing to maintain consistent coverage and attend to faults. Can you also advise the support you’re getting from government to provide an adequate level of guidance and resources?
