The recent Institute for Government and Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) analysis of the Autumn Spending review found that the Review does not provide the level of funding required for major improvements to performance, because spending settlements are front-loaded, with big increases this year (2022/23) but little increase in the following two years.
