    The Annual Survey for Hours and Earnings (ASHE) showed London wages fell slightly faster than the UK national average, dipping only 0.6 per cent to £31,447 in the year to April. This survey also highlighted the disparity in pay across London with the highest pay in London earned by residents of Kensington & Chelsea, who made an average of £73,917 whereas the lowest was in Barking & Dagenham, where pay averaged £29,128.
