With reference to the proposed refurbishment of existing energy-from-waste plants in London your London Environment Strategy says: “Additional powers for the Mayor, boroughs or the Environment Agency may also be needed to ensure such controls [to meet strict planning and air quality tests] are effective.” Do you have any specific concerns, and what powers are you seeking to ensure the controls are effective?
