    On the Stove Industry Alliance’s website, it states that “the Mayor of London has recommended the installation of Ecodesign Ready stoves, that are also Defra Exempt. Ecodesign ready stoves must currently also be Defra exempt to be used in smoke control areas.” Is this true?

    Despite the fact that Ecodesign ready stoves are less polluting than other stoves, they still produce 335g/MWh of particulate matter (PM2.5). This makes them over 300 times more polluting than electrical heating or a gas boiler. What are you doing to raise awareness among Londoners who may be under the impression that an Ecodesign stove is a source of “clean energy”?
