Figures released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) to the Brent Centre for Young People in north London, under a Freedom of Information request, show the overall number of suicides registered in London increased by 48 per cent in 2015/16 compared with 2013/14. Will any of the funding given to organisations from your Young Londoners Fund support young people at risk of mental health problems and/or possible suicide?
  • Sexual Health in London (2)

    • Reference: 2018/0830
    • Question by: Siân Berry
    • Meeting date: 22 March 2018
Thank you for your response to my question 2017/4367. I was encouraged to see your response say: "all Londoners, and in particular individuals at risk of poor sexual health, [will] have access to services that meet their sexual health needs no matter where they live in the capital." However, recent data shows that an estimated 600 people a week are being turned away from oversubscribed sexual health clinics in just one NHS trust in London, with other services also oversubscribed. What will you do to help speed up the introduction of new services?
