Given that London's drug poisoning death rate is at its highest in more than 20 years, will you support the motion recently passed by the Assembly calling for you to commit £150,000 to fund two drug testing centres, to provide free, confidential and professional drug checking, as well as other healthcare intervention, training and workshops? Based on a model used in Bristol, adopting this scheme could help to make a significant difference in reducing drug-related harm.

In November 2021 the London Assembly Health Committee called for local authorities to produce a toilet strategy based on population need and current local provision. This call for London boroughs to develop strategies for public toilet provision was reiterated by Age UK in a 2022 report, which found that 81% of older Londoners thought public toilets in their borough were bad and that there is only 1 public toilet for every 5,000 Londoners. Will the Mayor write to London boroughs to encourage them to produce toilet strategies and to work to improve the provision of public toilets in their area?
