    Lord Bailey of Paddington AM: It needs to be said, Mr Mayor. Do you think it is correct that so many assertions are made, and people put words in our mouths? We are at Mayor’s Question Time. We are here to ask you questions. You do your best to answer the questions. But it just does not strike me as fair that other Members put words in our mouths. I am sure people watching this would hope that you would represent yourself correctly and also allow us to represent ourselves correctly.

    Thank you, Chair. Good morning, panel. I address my first question to Deputy Mayor Tom Copley. The Mayor first announced in February that he had received £126 million from the Government’s Local Authority Housing Fund to provide homes for refugees and that this funding would be used to provide 600 affordable homes, mainly for Ukrainian and Afghans fleeing conflict. How many of these homes have been provided so far?

    The Government’s Equalities Office ‘Unconscious bias and diversity training – what the evidence says’ report published 15 December 2020, concluded that there: “is currently no evidence that this training changes behaviour in the long term or improves workplace equality in terms of representation of women, ethnic minorities or other minority groups”. It also states that there is emerging evidence of unintended negative consequences. As a result, it is being phased out in the Civil Service 1 .
