On the 27 July 2023, the Prime Minister put out a press release which suggested he wanted to centralise housebuilding powers in London. Brent Council is set to receive the biggest New Homes Bonus in the country. It increased the supply of homes more than any other council in the UK last year and is set to receive a £7.9 million New Homes Bonus in 2023/24.
