Given you have no plans to sell the water cannon purchased last year (MQ2015/3620) can you confirm that they will become part of the Metropolitan Police Service's historical collection? • MOPAC - disposal of Raynesfield Estate, Merton (1)

    • Reference: 2015/0079
    • Question by: Stephen Knight
    • Meeting date: 21 January 2015
Further to your partial answer to MQ2014/5108, can we assume that your Deputy Mayor's decision to halt the planned sale of properties in Raynesfield, Merton was only communicated to Crown Housing Ltd (now Crown Simmons Ltd) on 28 November 2014?
  • MOPAC - disposal of Raynesfield Estate, Merton (2)

    • Reference: 2015/0080
    • Question by: Stephen Knight
    • Meeting date: 21 January 2015
In answer to MQ2014/5109, you stated that any compensation offered to tenants who suffered financially as a result of the attempted disposal of MOPAC-owned properties in Raynesfield would be a matter for Crown Simmons Ltd to consider as landlord. However, it is clear that many of the substantial (and unnecessary) moving and storage costs incurred by residents could have been avoided if your Deputy Mayor's decision to halt eviction proceedings had been taken and communicated earlier in the process. Given MOPAC's direct responsibility for this situation, is it not right that you now consider offering compensation?

Please confirm when this decision was communicated to Crown Housing Association which leases these homes on behalf of the MOPAC?
