What was the total budget of the Metropolitan Police Service Roads and Transport Policing Command (RTPC) and the Traffic Criminal Justice Unit in 2019-20, and what is the expected budget for 2020-21? How many full-time equivalent officers were assigned to these units in each of these years?
  • New Prime Minister and Heathrow Airport

    • Reference: 2019/17390
    • Question by: Siân Berry
    • Meeting date: 12 September 2019
Former Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, said in 2015 that he would: “lie down in front of those bulldozers and stop the building, stop the construction of that third runway,” at Heathrow Airport. Since Boris Johnson became Prime Minister, I have called on him to stick to this pledge. Have you?
  • Information about advertisers on the Transport for London network

    • Reference: 2019/12048
    • Question by: Siân Berry
    • Meeting date: 20 June 2019
In response to a Freedom of Information request asking for details of advertisers, including a breakdown of categories of advertisement on its network, Transport for London (TfL) has said: "we do not have a list of companies that advertise on our network or a breakdown of revenue received by company. We have contracts with partners, e.g. Exterion Media, who run our advertising estate for us. The partner deals with the brands, companies and sectors to sell campaigns and space." Given you now operate policies such as the ban on junk food advertisements, will you consider asking TfL to collect and...
  • Hostmaker advertisements on the Transport for London network

    • Reference: 2019/8894
    • Question by: Siân Berry
    • Meeting date: 16 May 2019
On 1 April 2019, in response to my question 2019/6107, you stated that Hostmaker, one of the larger management companies for short-term rentals, was not running any advertising on the Transport for London (TfL) network. However, constituents have provided evidence of recent new Hostmaker ads at London Underground stations, starting very soon after this date and remaining in place at least until 24 April 2019, which now actively encourage landlords to stop offering long-term rentals and move to their service. Will you a) reconsider your previous response, b) ask TfL to remove any remaining adverts with this message that runs...
  • Cat deaths on the road

    • Reference: 2019/0275
    • Question by: Siân Berry
    • Meeting date: 17 January 2019
Thank you for your response to the London Assembly motion passed on 7 June 2018 about cat deaths on the road. The campaigners from Cats Matter have received new data which shows there is still an inconsistent approach being taken by councils across London when dealing with cat deaths on the road. Given the unanimous cross-party support on this issue, could you raise this with London's councils or ask one of your deputy mayors to do this on your behalf, asking each council to provide details of the actions they intend to take?
