  • Impact of King Street Cycle Route on Rivercourt Road

    • Reference: 2023/4782
    • Question by: Tony Devenish
    • Meeting date: 21 December 2023
The introduction of a cycle route on King Street in Hammersmith has caused real problems for my constituents in Rivercourt Road, including a) the risk of accidents as cyclists and pedestrians navigate the complex junction between Rivercourt Road and King Street, b) traffic delays as vehicles struggle to exit Rivercourt Road across the cycle route and into the flow of traffic on King Street, c) traffic backing up the length of Rivercourt Road with engines running creating localised pollution problems, and d) traffic backing up and into the A4 creating accident risks on the A4. Do you recognise that this...

  • C51 (2)

    • Reference: 2023/4130
    • Question by: Tony Devenish
    • Meeting date: 16 November 2023
The current planned route for the C51 takes it through Wyndham Place. Wyndham Place used to contain a semi-circular road which, in the 1970s, was paved over to create a peaceful courtyard. Today this courtyard has many uses including as: a playground for the students of the ICS London- Primary International School, an outdoor café which is part of Boxcar Baker & Deli, St. Mary’s Church which is in regular, daily use for weddings and events. In addition Wyndham Place has eleven houses and the residents of the flats and people using the church are entitled to park their vehicles...
  • Baker Street Two Way Conversion

    • Reference: 2023/4132
    • Question by: Tony Devenish
    • Meeting date: 16 November 2023
Local residents tell me that since the Baker Street Two Way (BSTW) conversion was completed, Gloucester Place has seen a marked increase in the amount of traffic in the area, including diesel-run coaches and articulated lorries next to Dorset Square Gardens. This increase in traffic is at odds with how the BSTW project was presented to residents and seems unnecessary given there are less residential roads parallel to Gloucester Place which could be used as alternatives. Is TfL aware of the issue and what initiatives – such as introducing traffic calming measures onto Gloucester Place – are being considered to...
