A constituent has contacted me about the lack of allotments in London. They referred to the CPRE report from 2012 which states that "Section 55 of the London Government Act (1963) supersedes the Small Holdings and Allotments Act, stating that the provision of allotments by inner London boroughs is at the discretion of the local authority." However the waiting time for an allotment in many London Boroughs is several decades. Can the London Food Board identify any other further areas to increase provision of allotments?
