  • District Line Closures

    • Reference: 2013/0965
    • Question by: Roger Evans
    • Meeting date: 20 March 2013
Examination of the latest line closures programme suggest District line closures for 3 weekends in March, the whole of the Whitsun weekend in May and then at regular intervals through June, July and August that more closures of this stretch of line are required. Can you please supply me with precise details of what work is to be undertaken during these further closures, and again, why this work could not be completed on any of the other 100 weekends the line has been closed?

Does the Mayor recognise the value in TfL seeking to reduce demand on London's overcrowded public transport by aiming to incentivise home working?
  • Congestion Charge Exemption

    • Reference: 2013/0470
    • Question by: Roger Evans
    • Meeting date: 25 February 2013
Many of my constituents feel very let down having already purchased a vehicle that is now to be removed from the list of exemptions by what they perceive to be a simple TFL revenue raising ploy. Like many ecologically minded drivers and businesses who have invested in such a car, the Congestion Charge Exemption was part of the reason they did so. Are you not concerned that the new 'green goalposts' will only serve to discourage many drivers and businesses from upgrading their vehicles?

    • Reference: 2013/0174
    • Question by: Roger Evans
    • Meeting date: 30 January 2013
Given that London's population is due to hit 10 million people by 2030, with population growth outstripping the growth in transport capacity, does the Mayor acknowledge the role that increased home working and flexible working must play in keeping London working?
