Are you aware of the article in The Times at the weekend by Howard Wilkinson, the Technical Director of the FA, who suddenly seems to be pushing Birmingham again, and the fact that the new Sports Minister, Richard Caborn, has given this argument legs as well? Would it be possible for you to arrange a meeting with the FA, rather than just with Sir Rodney Walker, to make sure that they realise the level of investment there already is in the London end of the project?

You may be aware that, rather bizarrely, Howard Wilkinson is pointing out that East Midlands airport is near the proposed site. I do not have visions of huge numbers of England fans arriving by plane from all points of the compass - it seems a little strange.

Following on from that point, you have talked about engaging with the general public, Ken, but when you were first elected, you made a big deal of the fact that you wanted to have a good dialogue with the voluntary sector. I do not feel that that has happened over the last year to the extent it could have done. What plans do you have for a better dialogue with the voluntary sector?

I have noticed that you have had meetings with, for example, the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux and with the Greater London Association of Disability. I would like to see you getting out and talking to, for example, Richmond Advice and Information on Disability, for whom I used to work, and instead of going to the National Association of CABx, why don't you go and talk to Kingston CAB? It worries me that you are not getting down far enough to the people who are out there working on the street with community groups in the voluntary sector. You...

Does the Mayor recognise the significant environmental damage caused by dumping of domestic batteries on landfill sites? Will his Waste Strategy therefore contain measures to give Londoners the opportunity to recycle their waste batteries, by introducing recycling points throughout the capital, such as are enjoyed in other European cities? .

The loss of London's cultural heritage when nightclubs such as the Wag in Soho and the Electric Ballroom in Camden and local pubs are replaced pub chains is of concern to many Londoners. Will the Mayor consider this issue in his forthcoming Cultural Strategy? .

What criteria is used when imposing a charge for the use of Trafalgar Square? .
