I am going to move on to a few questions about community safety funding, if I may, and I wanted to ask the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime. Obviously we have seen some of the criteria that have come through in the letter that has been sent out from you and London Councils to councils. The first question was how MOPAC selected the criteria under which the decisions on allocating community safety funding were selected and what consultation if any you made in determining the criteria with relevant stakeholders who were applying for funding.

Can I ask the Deputy Commissioner for a point of clarification on the Leveson recommendations? To what extent are they applicable to British publications getting hacked material from abroad?

We have already had it rolled out to outer London boroughs like Havering, Barking, Dagenham, Enfield and Kingston. I just want to know what consultation engagement has been carried out in the boroughs about increasing the availability of Tasers?

I just wanted to ask about the drop in rape reporting and wanted to ask the Commissioner when the Metropolitan Police Service will conclude its assessment of the reasons behind the recent drop in reports of rape and whether the findings of the assessment will be shared with the Committee.

I just wanted to make one comment on the consultation programme. I am going to agree with Caroline that an hour per borough seems quite short. How are you going to demonstrate that you have listened to people, because obviously the real way that you can demonstrate that consultation is meaningful is by demonstrating that you have taken comments onboard? Are you going to allow room for change if after what is an extensive consultation you find that you do not have the support for the plan that you are obviously hoping to get?

I will happily join Jennette on Saturday as well. Can I firstly welcome the MPS' support of the ban promoted by Waltham Forest, though it is very late in the day. Is the real issue here not essentially that the MPS still does not think the EDL is part of the far right? We had Sir Paul Stephenson in September 2009, the then-Police Commissioner, suggesting to the MPA that the EDL is not viewed as an extreme right-wing group in the accepted sense?

Returning if I may to the effects, Commissioner, of the G4S ineptitude on the boroughs. I am pleased to hear your professional judgment that you expect perhaps no further draw or demand upon those resources, but clearly that remains to be seen as it plays out. However, I respect your opinion on that. Something that worries many residents is around the pressure on the Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNT). Just some feedback I picked up on the very unfortunate rape in Regent's Park. It should really go the Commissioner, but as he is not here I will direct it to Stephen. There is a feeling that the policing of the Royal Parks is not a priority. Could you confirm that or not?

Moving on to particularly burglary and robbery. I mentioned earlier directly to the Commissioner that these are crimes that affect many, many people and often are the crimes that touch many people in the sort of areas that I represent, be it burglary of their homes, often robbery which often affects their young people in town centres. It is often a disproportionate affecting crime. You will know it is the Mayor's Manifesto to introduce the sentencing unit and I think we are very interested to see how that plays out and how that forms. I would be interested in your comments.
