  • Free transport for under 18s (Supplementary) [12]

    • Question by: Samantha Heath
    • Meeting date: 16 October 2002
No, they are not. There is a 10.00pm cut-off. This is a peculiar curfew. I have asked a number of people in the hierarchy of Transport for London; nobody understands it. I have witnessed, at first hand, children or minors paying the full fare after 10.00pm. I would like an unequivocal statement on what should happen. And on the buses there should be a notice so that this does not continue. I asked you this question last year and I was told that there is no difference; I get the information from Transport for London; and time and again I...
  • Communication mechanisms (Supplementary) [12]

    • Question by: Samantha Heath
    • Meeting date: 16 October 2002
The question I have leads on from the whole of the debate up till now. We are moving away from consultation in any form of local government to using participation. In terms of bus routes going down certain streets, whilst I completely take on board the issue that you raise about strategy and where buses need to go, the very question that Elizabeth Howlett raised about the G1 bus was brought to you two years ago, and we have a commitment that we're looking at smaller, neater buses that go down that road. We have got clear evidence on the...

  • Opening Statement 13.03.02 (Supplementary) [18]

    • Question by: Samantha Heath
    • Meeting date: 13 March 2002
Given what the Mayor has said, I would really like us to make time in our diary, in the Assembly's work, where we can actually look at this report that the Mayor has been referring to, and ask the Mayor and Bob Kiley suitable questions. I think we need to make sure that we have it timetabled. The Mayor needs to give us an indication of when it's going to be published and we need to make time in our schedule. The Chair: I asked the Head of Scrutiny last week to talk to the Mayor's Office about timing and...
  • Traffic Lights (Supplementary) [7]

    • Question by: Samantha Heath
    • Meeting date: 13 March 2002
What contribution has TfL made to developing the Mayor's Air Quality Strategy? (Q12/2002 - AIR QUALITY STRATEGY)
  • Traffic Lights (Supplementary) [8]

    • Question by: Samantha Heath
    • Meeting date: 13 March 2002
The question was around delivery and amending your priorities to support Londoners. Ken Livingstone: This isn't delivery on the A1306 Heathway Chequers Lane by any chance? The Chair: I did send an email around alerting members to the fact that we should be trying to ask supplementaries which relate to the initial question. I am sure your ingenuity will find a way to ask the question you want to ask related to traffic lights. Ken Livingstone: I still think it was the A1306 thing that John was going on about. Samantha Heath: The air quality on that particular road. You...

    • Question by: Samantha Heath
    • Meeting date: 13 March 2002
Trevor Philips: Can I just ask officers to make sure that that gets on the agenda for Bureau leaders this afternoon? Let us start the process right away. Samantha Heath: On consultation, did you actually consult with boroughs before you wrote to Railtrack Property to ask them to keep the Braithwaite Viaduct?
