  • Stronger, fairer, and more innovative London economy (Supplementary) [9]

    • Question by: Victoria Borwick
    • Meeting date: 01 July 2015
Victoria Borwick AM MP: If I may, I would just like to follow on and say that there are other boroughs that are very concerned. In fact, I have a residents group in Kensington and Chelsea that is extremely dismayed that it seems to be that others are moving ahead on this agenda. I would - I think - second the points made by Mr Dismore, not all of them, but I know there are others around here who I am sure could instance their boroughs and issues with this. There seems to be subsidies and other information for other...
  • 21st Century Bobby (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Victoria Borwick
    • Meeting date: 03 June 2015
While we are talking about the 21st century and taking things forward, I would like to bring your attention to the residents of Knightsbridge, particularly, in central London, who are suffering from the people who drive amazing supercars that make the residents’ lives hell. I do not know, Mr Mayor, if you would like to join with me in raising this concern with the Commissioner. Some of these cars are, of course, without insurance. They get shipped in at quite significant cost. They drive around the streets at 2 o’clock and 3 o’clock in the morning, racing through the streets...
  • Violent Crime in London (Supplementary) [3]

    • Question by: Victoria Borwick
    • Meeting date: 09 December 2014
Just taking us back briefly, if I may, to the pressures on the LAS at this time of the year, and obviously the point that was made earlier about drinking and excessive street drinking at this time of the year. In the past I have been fortunate enough to go out with your teams and see the valuable work they did and last week I was out representing the Mayor with the ambulance teams, and again the vast majority of people who had drunk themselves and had been abandoned by their friends and then ended up putting pressure on our...

  • Experience (Supplementary) [2]

    • Question by: Victoria Borwick
    • Meeting date: 14 November 2012
Changing back to a different topic in view of some of the questions we have just had - and I am very conscious that our session this morning is time-limited, as you know - I do want to highlight in this area of what is different or what is not different the tremendous sense of participation you gave to the volunteers and to the Games Makers. I know that as you close there will be many Games Makers who think that possibly their options of other things they are going to do are going to finish. However, I know even...
  • Business Plan

    • Question by: Victoria Borwick

Are you satisfied that the predictions made in your business plan, particularly in relation to the popularity of the Games and the events leading up to Games-time, stack up?
  • Effective Police Response (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Victoria Borwick
    • Meeting date: 07 December 2011
I would like to take us back to civil liberties. In view of the various reports that have come out and following on from the comments that have been asked on community cohesion, I am a little concerned and want your reassurance that the police will still support the public's right to public protest while not, of course, condoning violence.
  • City Operations Programme (Supplementary) [15]

    • Question by: Victoria Borwick
    • Meeting date: 20 July 2011
If I could just continue on that Live sites point because, as you say, a number of issues have been raised by various residents across London. Could you just confirm, will all the Live sites be licensed?

  • Risks (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Victoria Borwick
    • Meeting date: 08 December 2010
I would like to go back to the risks question on security please. Could you talk a little bit more please about both the cost and the personnel issues? We talked about the training venues. I want to know a bit more about who will be responsible for the security of those, because you mentioned they were during the Games? How are you doing that? Also, the cost for us of that? That is not only at the venues but the transportation.
